For hire is an Elle TENS 2. This labour TENS offers all of the feature you really need and is one of our most popular units. The hand held unit has a large display screen, pre set modes and most importantly a boost button with Opti-Max technology. It can even time your contractions if you wish and is easy to use with no fuss.  Opti-Max will suppport you when you most need it with with it's extra reserves of power for the final stages of labour.

Please Note: TENS Machines are covered under Private Health cover. You will need to contact your provider to see what benefits you have. Your TENS hire includes:

• Elle TENS 2 machine hire for either 4 or 8 weeks. 
• 6 x new electrode pads (additional 2 x electrode pads as spares 
• 2 x lead wires
• 2 x new AA batteries
• A gorgeous post card size affirmation card.
• A versatile vegan leather carry pouch yours yours to KEEP valued at $14.95
• Easy to read instruction card. (Full instruction manual can be found on link above).
• Australia Post Prepaid sticker for easy pre-paid return, to be placed onto the compostable satchel that the TENS arrives in. We are caring for the environment. 
• A delicious energy creating whole food brownie snack bar and some Mama Me tea in case you need some energy during or after labour.

How does hire work?

The 4 week hire period would be your choice of hire if you EDD is very soon, this week or next week so you only require a short 4 week hire.

If you know the day baby will be arriving (scheduled induction).

If you know the day baby will be arriving, please let us know when you would roughly like to receive the TENS (taking into account shipping time) and we will ensure you receive it by then.

We will send your hire out to you ASAP, today if you placed your bookingbefore 12pm, or tomorrow if booked in after 12pm on a weekday.

If you would like your hire to get to you more quickly, please choose Express Shipping at checkout.

For the 8 Week hire - let us know your due date at the calendar section on the hire page. We will have the TENS to you around your 36 weeks gestation. If you require the TENS before 36 weeks gestation, after you have booked, please email hello@birthmother.com.au letting us know. Your TENS hire is for 8 weeks. Feel free to return the TENS anytime to us within the 8 weeks if you no longer require it. You will also receive a reminder when your TENS hire is due back to us, just so you don't forget.

You can book your TENS whenever you like.  If you prebook, we will ensure that your TENS arrives to you around your 36 weeks gestation. If you are due very soon, we will aim send your hire off as soon as possible. Just choose Express Shipping at checkout. 

You return the TENS back to us by placing the machine and all its contents/accessories/pouch bag in the prepaid pre-addressed return satchel that was provided to you. Then drop it at your local Australia Post. Please keep your receipt from Australia Post so that you can show us in case something goes wrong with the return.

Test your Elle TENS unit as soon as you receive it. Familiarising yourself with the unit and its functions will make for a more stress-free experience when your labour begins. If you have any problems or questions contact us ASAP so we can make sure you have everything under control for your beautiful birthing experience. 

DONT FORGET to check with your Health Insurance. Depending on the level of health cover, you may be eligable for a partial or full rebate on the hire or purchase of TENS units.
